Calcium Propionate is used to reduce the possibility of mold & aerobic sporulating bacterial development in feeds. It maintains the nutritive value & elongates the period of feed products can be used leads in extending the shelf life of animal feed.

- Recommended doses for the administration of Calcium Propionate in Pigs 30gm/Kg diet per day & for Ruminants 40gm/Kg diet per day.
- It can be used for the treatment of acetonaemia (Ketosis) in dairy cattle.

- For poultry feed supplementation, the recommended doses of Calcium Propionate is from 2.0 – 8.0 gm/kg diet.
- The amount of calcium Propionate used in livestock depends on the moisture content of the material being protected. Typical dosages range from 1.0 – 3.0 kg/ton of feed.
